Hike #05: Village d’Oppedette et gorges

 Mardi prochain nous vous proposons de découvrir le village d’Oppedette. Perché au sommet des gorges il possède un belvédère qui offre une vue grandiose sur les à-pics vertigineux d’un canyon. Nous suivrons le sentier dit des ‘’corniches’’ pour découvrir la fraîcheur des sources et des grottes.

Mettez de bonnes chaussures, le terrain étant très accidenté.

 

Next Tuesday we'll go around the village of Oppedette in the Vaucluse department. This hill-top village offers a superb view over a very deep canyon. We'll do a tour at the top of the cliffs to discover luxuriant vegetation as well as springs, caves, etc…

Wear proper hiking shoes as the ground is very rocky and uneven.

Dogs are not allowed as we'll walk along narrow paths overlooking the canyon.

Meeting point: Directly at the start of the hike at 10:15 am. Allow 1 ½ hours driving time from Aix.

Directions: From Aix-en-Provence Take the N7 from Aix direction Rognes. Then take the D543 direction Rognes-Cadenet.  From Cadenet you take the D943 direction Loumarin.  From Loumarin follow Bonnieux/Apt. Continue on the D 943 direction Apt. At Apt take the "centre ville" and then follow the direction Forcalquier (N100), 3 kms before Cereste turn left on the D33 toward Viens. Then the D155 direction Oppedette. Park your car at the entrance of the village in the car park on the left sign posted Parking des Gorges – Départ des randonnées. (not the first parking by the bridge called Grand Vallat)
