Nous vous proposons une jolie balade au départ de plateau de Ventabren jusqu’à l’aqueduc de Roquefavour, datant de XIX siècle, construit pour amener l’eau jusqu’à Marseille. Nous marcherons dans la garrigue et les pinèdes de la plaine de Ban, avec les vues panoramique. Nous découvrirons les ruines d’un oppidum celto-ligue et nous longerons le canal de Marseille.
Ne manquez pas de visiter Ventabren magnifique belvédère dominant l’étang de Berre.
This pretty hike will start from the plateau of Ventabren and take us to the Roquefavour aqueduct (which dates from the 19th century and was built to carry water to Marseille). We will walk in the ‘garrigue’ and the pine woods of the ‘Plaine de Ban’, with panoramic views. We will discover the ruins of an ‘oppidum’ celto-ligure and will walk along the banks of the canal of Marseille.
After the hike, don’t forget to visit the pretty hill-top village of Ventabren

Directions: From Aix en Provence, take the D10 direction Berre. At roundabout, turn left on D64A into Ventabren and follow signs to the village centre. Do not enter the old village but continue on the left on the D64 following signs for ‘complexe sportif’. The road forks and you must keep right and head up the hill past the red and white barrier. Continue up the hill and as the road bends to the right, park on the left in the dirt car park just before the sport centre.
