Hike #24: Ports de la Madrague, du Niel et de la Tour Fondue

Nous vous proposons une superbe randonnée à la pointe de la presqu’île de Giens avec des petits ports de la Madrague, du Niel et de la Tour Fondue. Nous aurons également des vues magnifiques sur l’île de Porquerolle et la côte.

 

This superb hike at the tip of the ‘presqu’île de Giens ‘will take us past the small ports of Madrague, Niel and the Tour Fondue. In addition, we will enjoy magnificent views over to the island of Porquerolle and the coast.

 

Lunch:      Bring a picnic lunch.

Dogs:       OK (with leads as some parts on roads)

Difficulty: 5

Hike:      3 ¾  hours + lunch (and swim at the end of the hike)

Meeting point: Directly at the start of the hike at 10:30 am.

                       Allow at least 1 ½ hours driving time from Aix

Directions: From Aix take the A8 towards Nice then the A52 towards Aubagne/Toulon. Continue on A52 and take tunnel through Toulon. After Toulon, take A570 towards Hyeres which becomes N98. At traffic lights (in Hyeres) turn right towards airport, Giens, Les Isles. Keep on D559 and then D197 towards Giens (go past airport). Go through La Capte. Just after Le Pousset and just before roundabout (that leads to La Badine), turn left into carpark. Carpark is not easy to see and probably best to go around roundabout and then turn right into carpark (very narrow entrance – drive carefully!)
